BkavCA Config

BkavCA Config is a tool designed by Bkav Corporation that helps users easily generate digital certificates and manage certificate configurations. With BkavCA Config, users can create and manage different types of certificates such as SSL, S/MIME, VPN, Code Signing, and more.

The minimum system requirements for using BkavCA Config are: Operating System: Windows 7 or later Software: Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 1.8 or later

To install BkavCA Config, follow these simple steps: 1. Visit the Bkav Corporation website and download the latest version of BkavCA Config. 2. Unzip the downloaded file. 3. Install Java Runtime Environment if it is not already installed. 4. Double-click on the 'start.bat' file to start the application.

To create a new CA in BkavCA Config, follow these steps: 1. Click on the 'Create CA' button. 2. Enter the required information such as the CA name, expiration date, and algorithm. 3. Click on 'Save' to create your new CA.

A Certificate Signing Request (CSR) is a message sent from an applicant to a Certificate Authority (CA) to request a digital certificate. The applicant must provide their public key and some identifying information, and the CSR contains all of this data.

To create a new CSR, follow these steps: 1. Click on the 'Create CSR' button. 2. Choose the type of certificate you want to create. 3. Fill in the required information such as Common Name, Country, State, etc. 4. Click on 'Save' to generate your new CSR.

To sign a CSR in BkavCA Config, follow these steps: 1. Click on the 'Sign CSR' button. 2. Choose the CSR you want to sign. 3. Choose the CA you want to sign the CSR with. 4. Enter any required additional information such as a password. 5. Click on 'Sign' to sign the CSR.

To export a certificate, follow these steps: 1. Click on the 'Export Certificate' button. 2. Choose the certificate you want to export. 3. Choose the format you want to export it in (DER or PEM). 4. Choose where you want to save the exported certificate. 5. Click on 'Export' to export the certificate.

An Intermediate Certificate Authority (ICA) is a subordinate CA that is signed by a root CA, and which in turn can sign other certificates or ICAs/SCAs. ICAs are often used to delegate trust within a large organization.

To create an intermediate CA in BkavCA Config, follow these steps: 1. Click on the 'Create CA' button. 2. Choose 'Intermediate' as the CA Type. 3. Enter the required information such as the ICA name, expiration date, and algorithm. 4. Choose the Root CA that you want to sign the Intermediate CA with. 5. Click on 'Save' to create your new ICA.
